1. Platform as Intermediary
DropnRide is a trusted intermediary platform that connects users for ridesharing and delivery services throughout New Brunswick, Canada. We facilitate connections between drivers and passengers, as well as senders and couriers, but we do not provide transportation or delivery services directly. All services are provided by independent users of our platform.
2. Carpool Cost-Sharing
All carpool trips on DropnRide are cost-sharing arrangements for pre-planned trips. This is NOT on-demand ride-hailing or taxi service. Drivers must confirm they are already making the trip for their own purposes and are simply sharing costs with passengers. This ensures compliance with local regulations and creates a sustainable, community-driven transportation solution.
3. Independent Service Providers
All users of DropnRide are independent service providers. There is no employment relationship between users and DropnRide, no exclusivity requirements, and users have complete freedom to choose when and how to use the platform. This model empowers our community members while maintaining flexibility and autonomy.
4. Insurance Responsibility
Users are responsible for ensuring their personal auto insurance covers their usage of the platform. DropnRide does not provide auto insurance coverage. We strongly recommend that all drivers verify their insurance policy covers ridesharing activities before using our platform. Passengers are encouraged to have appropriate travel insurance.
5. User Safety and Verification
DropnRide is committed to maintaining a safe community. We implement verification processes including phone verification, profile verification, and user ratings. All users are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and safely. We reserve the right to suspend or remove users who violate our community guidelines.
6. Payment and Fees
Payments are processed securely through Stripe. DropnRide charges a platform fee to maintain and improve our services. All fees are clearly displayed before booking. Pro subscribers enjoy 0% commission on all trips and deliveries, keeping 100% of their earnings. Standard users pay a commission as displayed in the app.
7. Jurisdiction and Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Brunswick, Canada. Any disputes arising from the use of DropnRide will be resolved in accordance with New Brunswick law. By using our platform, you agree to this jurisdiction.
